The Heart of America Chapter of the Grant Professionals Association offers a variety of scholarship opportunities throughout the year. From membership scholarships and discounts to national and regional conference scholarships, we aim to make professional development accessible for all grant professionals, regardless of income-level or institutional support.
In addition to the local scholarship competitions, the Grant Professionals Foundation offers several grant opportunities.
- Grant Professionals Association Conference – offered annually (applications generally accepted May 1-June 20)
- Grant Professionals GPC Exam – offered annually (applications generally accepted May 15-June 15)
- Grant Professionals Association Membership – offered annually (applications generally accepted in February)
GPC Exam Scholarship:
Every year, the Grant Professional Certification Institute (GPCI) and the Grant Professionals Foundation support GPC® Scholarships for individuals eligible to sit for the exam. If awarded, your scholarship will be in the form of a credit to GPCI for all or a portion of the GPC exam cost.
The GPA Heart of America Chapter has designated funds to cover the full cost of one GPC Exam Scholarship through this fund. More information and application instructions can be found on the Grant Professionals Foundation website. Applications are due April 30, 2024.
GPA Heart of America National GrantSummit Scholarship:
The GPA Heart of America Chapter will award scholarships to cover Early Bird Registration for the 2024 GrantSummit. This year’s conference will be held October 30 – November 2, 2024, in Denver, CO at the Hyatt Regency Denver at the Colorado Convention Center and online. Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements listed on the scholarship announcement page. Additionally, awardees must make a presentation on their conference experience and workshops attended by the February 2025 chapter meeting or submit a written summary of their experience. Applications are due May 10, 2024.
